Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 19, 2026
Last Updated: June 19, 2026
Live Compliance LLC ("Live Compliance", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit livecompliance.com and use the free tools and resources we offer through it — such as our blog, downloadable guides and checklists, the free compliance self-assessment ("gap scan"), contact and inquiry forms, the certificate-validation lookup, newsletter signup, and chat features (together, the "Site").
Scope — Website vs. Platform
This policy covers the Site. Our subscription platform (the "Platform") and any protected health information (PHI) we process on a customer's behalf are governed by that customer's Compliance Services Agreement (CSA) and Business Associate Agreement (BAA) — not by this policy. Please do not submit PHI or other sensitive health information through the Site (contact forms, chat, or the self-assessment); those tools are not intended for it.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Your name, business email, phone number, organization, role, and anything else you enter when you complete a contact, demo, or careers form, request a resource, take the free self-assessment, use the certificate-validation lookup, or sign up for our newsletter.
- The responses you provide in the free self-assessment, which we use to generate your readiness score.
Information collected automatically
- Standard technical and usage data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring URLs, collected through cookies and similar technologies — subject to your cookie choices (see "Cookies and Your Choices").
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries and demo, assessment, or partnership requests.
- To deliver resources you request and, if you opt in, to send you newsletters and marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message).
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site.
- To generate your self-assessment readiness score automatically from the answers you provide. This is informational feedback, not a consequential automated decision about you; any follow-up is handled by a person.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers that perform functions on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of it to those functions. These providers fall into the following categories:
- Website hosting and form processing
- Website analytics
- Email delivery and customer-relationship management
- Workflow automation
- Fraud prevention and bot protection
- Payment processing and invoicing (for customers)
We may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. For customers, any PHI is shared only as permitted by the applicable BAA.
4. Cookies and Your Choices
- Necessary cookies keep the Site working and secure.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are off by default. We use Google Consent Mode v2, so they load only after you accept them through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can decline, or change your choice later by clearing cookies or adjusting your browser settings.
- Because non-essential cookies are off until you opt in, we effectively honor browser-level opt-out preferences such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) and "Do Not Track."
5. How We Protect Information
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the Site, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No website or method of transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Security of the Platform and any PHI is described in the applicable CSA and BAA and is aligned with the HIPAA Security Rule.
6. Data Retention
We keep information collected through the Site only for as long as needed for the purposes described above — for example, to respond to you, manage our relationship, and send marketing until you opt out — and as required by law, after which we delete or de-identify it. Retention of customer and Platform records is governed by the applicable CSA and BAA.
7. Your Privacy Rights
We honor the following rights for all visitors, regardless of where you live:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): in addition to the above, you have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell your personal information. Some analytics and marketing cookies may be considered "sharing" under California law; because these are off until you opt in, you can prevent this by declining cookies or using a Global Privacy Control signal.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@livecompliance.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit through a link from ours.
10. U.S.-Based Service
Live Compliance is based in the United States and the Site is intended for users in the United States. We do not target the Site to individuals in the European Union or United Kingdom. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information is processed in the United States.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and post the updated policy here. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice on the Site.
